The Summer Beach Hop began in 2019 when local event organisers JLE thought there was a need for a retro music festival in the city of Coffs Harbour. With the amount of event experience available to organisers via their association with such events as the World Rally 2011-2019, The International Buskers Festival 2000-2020, major concerts such as Midnight Oil, Cold Chisel, Powderfinger, etc & the community Coffs Coast Carols By Candle light 2017- 2025 , the thought was raised , why not put on a retro music festival? 

 

So we set about going to other car & retro music events around NSW and following that we thought we could do it at least be as good as other events. The formula was pretty simple : classic cars –  retro music & we then added that element unique to Coffs , fun by the beach using the classic location of the recently refurbished & stunning vista of Coffs Jetty Foreshores. 

 

And so the first Summer Beach Hop was born in 2019 & now as we move into 2026 the next event will encompass events over 3 days on March 13,14,15 in the Coffs City Centre , at the beautiful Coffs Jetty Foreshores . 

 

The event is a relaxing three days by the beach enjoying retro music, looking at classic cars , dancing, friendship & fun. We invite everyone but you are especially welcome if you are over 50!
